ABOUT:

Paul Robeson is a nice slicer variety with a low seed count making it ideal for BLT sandwiches or can even be used for making tomato paste. It has less acidity than traditional paste varieties and a mild sweetness to it (though not as sweet as Cherokee Purple in our opinion). The Paul Robeson variety has a purple-red muted cast to it with a little bit of green on the top and shoulders.

Our Paul Robeson seed has been adapted to grow in a hydroponic system which will mean a stronger and more prolific plant if you grow it in hydroponic, aeroponic, or aquaponic system like the Tower Garden FLEX.  We do not recommend this variety for indoors unless you have an extra-large grow light set-up — it's footprint is definitely not conducive to the Aerogarden — we recommend to instead opt to grow outdoors during the warm season (nights above 65ºF) for optimum production. We grow our tomatoes around 2200 PPM with an ideal pH of 6.5-6.8. We recommend this nutrient solution if you don't already have a favorite.

Q: What does "Hydroponic Seeds" in the product description mean? [Answer]

CULINARY USES:

We especially love these little tomatoes for snacking, on salads, to use on tomato galettes, ferment, or dry excess harvest in a dehydrator to use on mini pizzas as sun-dried tomatoes or freeze to use in tomato soups throughout the winter months, and the list goes on!
